Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Energy Minister Chris Bowen will meet industry and manufacturing representatives on Thursday as the energy crisis gripping the east coast shows no sign of abating.

Former Liberal prime minister Malcolm Turnbull, who introduced the gas trigger, urged the government to limit gas exports for 90 days to ensure there was enough domestic gas for winter.when parliament eventually sat, refused to budge.
