Roné Bouwer Baxendell took to social media to share the worker's act of kindness after popping into the supermarket for some essentials.
An Aldi customer has praised a kind-hearted cashier's response after a pensioner was left short by £1 for her shopping.
As reported by the Mirror, Ms Baxendell explained: "Today at my local Aldi in Towcester, there was an elderly lady in front of me, keep checking how much she’s spending. Long story short, the amount came to over what she had and asked for certain items to be credited off.Overcome with emotion, Ms Baxendell praised the staff member for her selfless gesture when she took her turn at the till.
Many took to social media to praise her efforts and share similar experiences at the supermarket. Beth Cornish said: "We do this at work too sadly it is becoming more regular and it is heart breaking. Michelle Walden said: "I’ve had a cashier pay what I couldn’t once before. Not many people like that around anymore. There are a few good people out there."
