Alfa Romeo has reported a sharp contrast in its sales performance between Italy and North America car auto cars
Alfa Romeo has had a mixed start to 2023, reporting a significant increase in sales across its home market but shrinking sales in North America.
In Italy, Alfa Romeo remains very popular with sales tripling in the first quarter compared to the first three months of 2022. The new Tonale proved particularly important for the brand and already has a 5% share of its popular segment. Italian customers are also lapping up the Stelvio and , thanks in part to the recent facelifts that both models underwent and which have not yet been revealed for the U.S. and Canadian markets.and Giulia jumped 35% in from February to March this year. Things are not looking so rosy across North America.The automaker’s recently-announced U.S. Q1 sales results reveal that Alfa Romeo managed to sell 2,390 vehicles in the first three months of the year compared to the 3,291 it sold in Q1 2022. This represents a drop of 27%.
Prices for the entry-level Tonale Ti kick off at $44,995 while the Tonale Veloce is available from $47,495 in the USA.
