An 18-year-old who was allegedly driving a car that crashed and killed another young man earlier this year will remain in custody ahead of his next court date.

Police have alleged Mr Martin was among eight people who fled while an 18-year-old father was lying injured at the scene.Mr Martin is not alleged to have been involved in the theft of the vehicle.Mr Martin's lawyer, Daniel Gorry, argued in court that bail under supervised conditions would be a safer option for his client than remaining in custody.
