Queensland police have issued an amber alert and are seeking urgent public assistance after a man abducted four children in a 4WD from a property near Mackay.
“The Queensland Police Service is seeking urgent public assistance to help locate four children taken by a man from a property at The Leap, north of Mackay around 11.30am today,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
“A man was seen taking the children away from a Maraju Yakapari Road address in a white 2005 Nissan Patrol 4WD bearing Queensland Registration 063BC9.Police said the children aged 8, 7, 3 and 3 were taken from a property at The Leap by a man in a white Nissan Patrol and could be at “significant risk.” Picture: QPS.
The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 175cm tall with a shaved head and full beard and multiple facial and body tattoos. Anyone with any information about the abduction is urged to call 131 564 or triple-0 for a life threatening emergency.
