The Allan government has been accused of mismanaging Victoria 's health system, with new data showing the state's ambulance service has fallen way short of its response time targets.
Picture: Asanka Ratnayake/Getty Images While the median wait time in emergency departments was only 15 minutes, 47 per cent of patients spent more than four hours in emergency before they were discharged or transferred to another hospital for treatment.Shadow health minister Georgie Crozier said the data showed the Allan government was failing vulnerable Victorians.
“Too many Victorians are waiting too long to be cared for, particularly in regional areas,” she said. “Our dedicated paramedics and first responders do an incredible job working under pressure to provide the best care to communities across the state every day,” Ms North said.
