Ambulance Victoria chief executive officer Jane Miller has resigned from the service weeks after its workers called for a change in leadership.
It comes after a majority of the service's union members passed a no confidence motion in Ambulance Victoria 's leadership last month.
The emergency service's operations will also be put under the microscope after Victoria's upper house voted in favour of an inquiry last week.In a statement, Ambulance Victoria board chair Shelly Park said Ms Miller joined the organisation in January 2023, when Victoria was recovering from the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Victorian Ambulance Union general secretary Danny Hill said "this is the first step in the right direction".
