Victoria Premier Daniel Andrews has been unwilling to elaborate on why he believed the resignation of Health Minister Jenny Mikakos was "appropriate". The Premier was challenged as to how Ms Mikakos' resignation was appropriate despite comments made by Mr Andrews "all his ministers" had his confidence.
"Ms Mikakos is not a minister any longer. She has made a decision. She has resigned," Mr Andrews said. "As to details pertaining to the facts of the matters they are rightly the province of an inquiry and my job is to wait for the findings of that inquiry and to take the necessary actions to ensure the mistakes made can never occur again."
