Just a day after securing a historic treble for Scottish giants Celtic FC, Australia’s Ange Postecoglou is on the verge of making the leap to the English Premier League.
“Understand Tottenham have finally reached verbal agreement with Ange Postecoglou as next manager,” he tweeted.
The Australian will become the sixth manager of the club since 2019, with two interim managers being used this season after Antonio Conte was let go. His first managing gig abroad was with Greek third division side Panachaiki in 2008 before returning home and eventually making his mark with the Brisbane Roar in the A-League, where his side went on a record-breaking 36-game unbeaten run.
