An anti-lockdown rally has turned violent in Melbourne, with police making several arrests, flares let off and a police horse being hit in the head
Hundreds of general duties police and members of the public order response team were on the scene, alongside police on horseback and bicycles.
By 4pm, hundreds of protesters continued to march back towards the Shrine and on to South Melbourne, a large police presence monitoring their movements. "They should be down on their hands and knees thanking the Premier for saving their life," she said, after giving the man a piece of her mind.
