In Brisbane’s latest arts bombshell, Queensland Theatre has cancelled the entire three-week run of a show, citing cast illness.is a comedy by US playwright Selina Fillinger centred on the staff of a fictional US president.
“Last night the difficult decision was taken by the Board of Queensland Theatre to cancel our season ofdue to health issues impacting some of our wonderful cast,” the company announced on social media and in an email to ticket holders. “The timing of these health issues and the timeframe surrounding rehearsals for this production unfortunately made it difficult to recast to the standards held by Queensland Theatre,” the spokesperson said.
