As Linda Burney waited patiently in Government House for her turn to be sworn into the ministry, it was impossible to miss the kangaroo-skin cloak draped around her shoulders. “[The Voice] doesn't clearly outline how in fact we’re going to solve some of our really critical issues, issues that I’ve been very much campaigning on for many years around family and domestic violence, around child sexual abuse, around education,” she said. Bragg lamented the years of harmful rhetoric that had plagued debate around the Voice within his party since the Uluru Statement was issued to the Australian people in 2017.
