The world’s best female tennis star Ash Barty traded tennis gear for something a bit more glamorous in a stunning magazine photo shoot.
Gracing the cover of Australian Vogue, the world’s best female tennis player swaps out her Fila cap and tennis gear for Polo Ralph Lauren and Tiffany & Co., she tells Vogue there’s no better feeling that being back in Australia for her home slam, the Australian Open. The best bit? The noise.
“I think I speak — not I think, I’m sure — I speak for everyone here, everyone in Australia, around the world, particularly myself — thank you,” Dokic continued. The exchange melted hearts. Tennis writer Prajwal Hegde tweeted: “Jelena Dokic’s on-court interview of Ash Barty — Wimbledon, Indigenous heritage, expression — was outstanding. The world No. 1 is Australia’s and is much loved.”
