At least 207 people have been killed in a series of Easter Sunday explosions targeting churches and hotels in Sri Lanka. A police spokesperson said that more than 450 people have been injured.

Six sites were hit with near-simultaneous explosions, with officials saying two smaller blasts followed a few hours later. Seven people have been arrested in relation to the incidents, and three police officers died during the raid of a home in Colombo. A curfew has been put in place and social media sites blocked as the nation's government tries to bring the situation under control.
