Australian swimmer Emma McKeon has cemented her name in sporting history books after winning a record number of gold medals to become the most successful athlete at the Commonwealth Games.
The 28-year-old added another gold medallion to her cabinet when she edged out fellow Australians Meg Harris and Shayna Jack in the 50m freestyle at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games on Monday morning.

McKeon will have four other opportunities to add to her Birmingham medal tally which includes gold in the mixed 4x100m freestyle and women's 4x100 freestyle relay.
