Aussies looking to get their kit off and enjoy live music can make their way to regional Queensland next week for the Nude Up Festival. 9News

Aussies looking to get their kit off and enjoy live music can make their way to regional Queensland next week for the Nude Up Festival.

It's the third year the community have been gathering, with festival founder Josh Smith explaining he came up with the idea to promote body positivity and meet fellow nude enthusiasts."It's a four-day festival with big named brands, a wow of a weekend in a paddock with our kit off," Smith told 6PR. "The freedom of having no clothes and just being yourself in your own skin – you can't explain it, its the best thing in the world."

Smith said the nudist festival enjoys what "textile people" - those who wear clothes - take for granted. And while many "textile people" might wonder if members would have to endure a lot of unwelcome stares, the enthusiastic nudist said there's no issue."We all have a quick glance that's the nature of the beast, but it's when you start staring... that's when it can be a little bit untoward.

The festival had been expecting 500-1000 people, with their private Facebook group having over 2000 members, but Smith said "ticket sales have slowed".US Air Force loses a nuclear bomb in a plane crash
