Up to eight people who were injured in the Bondi Junction attacks remain in hospital, judgement to be handed down in Bruce Lehrmann defamation case and supermarket probe continues.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said the government could always do more on mental health.After details emerged over the weekend that the attacker , the Prime Minister was asked on ABC Radio whether there was enough funding for mental health in the country.“Well, you could always do more, but we have had substantial investment in mental health, including in our last budget into mental health and suicide prevention systems in New South Wales,” Albanese said.
“It was evident there at Bondi Junction yesterday that the New South Wales Government Department of Health had early on people really identified as being able to provide support for people, and I thought that was a real indication of how on top of things the New South Wales administration was, which, under the circumstances, is quite remarkable, entirely appropriate.”The prime minister said the federal government would continue to work with the NSW government in the investigation.
