We’ve just received the following statement from Pauline Hanson’s office after the One Nation senator stormed out of the Senate.Senator Hanson considers that ‘acknowledgement of country’ perpetuates racial division in Australia. Like many non-Indigenous Australians, Senator Hanson considers this country belongs to her as much it does belong to any other Australian, Indigenous or otherwise.
Climate and Energy Minister Chris Bowen is introducing the draft law and says Labor’s 2030 emissions reduction target of 43 per cent is an “ambitious but achievable goal.”Alex Ellinghausen He accused the Coalition of professing to know more about business than the business sector, which for the most part backs greater climate action.
