The Australian Mint has unveiled its first image of King Charles III which is set to appear on the nation’s coins.\n\nThe Australian’s Johannes Leak discussed the appearance of the King on the coin and why they opted for a profile image instead of Charles’ face from the front.\n\n“Well it wouldn’t have been a round shape, it would have been a sort of round shape with two other little round shapes on the sides,” he told Sky News host Chris Kenny.\n\n“That’s how you would’ve had to get him front-on and make space for the ears.\n\n“It would have been the world’s weirdest looking coin.”
