Sky News host Peta Credlin says Australia’s exports have “surged to record levels” – most of which was fossil fuel.
“Our trade surplus was almost $18 billion dollars in June alone; with the trade balance up 54 per cent over the past year to $137 billion,” she said.
Ms Credlin said the result was driven by coal and gas, two things Labor and the Greens want to do away with. “Coal exports in June alone were worth $14 billion dollars, and were $113 billion for the year, almost triple last year,” she said.Ms Credlin said the results showed Australia was “living in a fool’s paradise” due to our energy policy.
“The rest of the world can’t get enough of our coal and gas, yet we’re too precious to use it ourselves,” she said.
