While Australia is flattening the coronavirus curve as a nation we are still “a long way off” seeing the relaxing of strict social distancing restrictions, so for now we just better “get used” to them, says Sky News host Peter Gleeson.

The rate of new coronavirus infections has slowly but steadily been dropping across Australia over the past number of days, something which has led to widespread optimism the nation might be getting on top of the deadly pandemic. “Australia is flattening the curve and there are significant positives coming out of the numbers compared to other countries,” Mr Gleeson said. However, “relaxing restrictions are still a long way off”.
