A toddler has died from COVID-19 in a Queensland hospital as 1023 patients with the disease remain in public and private hospitals.
At a press conference on Wednesday, Deputy Premier Steven Miles extended his condolences to the family but would not provide any further information. “Every death is tragic. The death of a child is awfully sad and my heart just goes out to that family and, of course, our health workers who would have done everything that they could to take care of that little child.”There have been 127 flu cases, 19 COVID-19 related deaths with ages from 50 to someone more than 100 years old.
