A woman has made an awkward joke about getting Covid-19 while out partying, before things took a surprising twist.
Emily Keogh and her friends were filmed joking “it’s Covid time” as they queued shoulder-for-shoulder for entry to the The Argyle House in Newcastle last Wednesday.

“It’s unlike any virus I’ve ever had – I would describe the symptoms as exactly what you hear on the news,” she said. “I don’t want mental health support – I want hotel accommodation away from my family and money to make up for the lost work,” she said.“I spoke to someone at NSW Health and they told me I should treat getting Covid as a birthday present because I get six months of immunity.”
