The very first depiction of alcohol in each episode of the dating show occurred in the first or second one-minute intervals, she added. On average, the first season of the show attracted 47,000 viewers in the six to 17 age bracket and 81,000 viewers aged 18 to 24. Globally, alcohol consumption is the leading cause of death and disability in people aged 15 to 24 and hospital emergency department presentations in this age group in Australia are on the rise.
