Based in Cape Town, they are rapidly scaling across South Africa and expanding internationally. They are looking for a talented Backend Engineer skilled in Python, Django, and DevOps to join their fast-growing team. This role involves scaling their core platform, improving existing features, and developing new ones to support an expanding user base. Ideal candidates thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about solving complex technical challenges.Develop & Scale: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable database architectures using Python and Django. API Integration: Build and optimize RESTful APIs to seamlessly integrate with IoT devices, third-party systems, and internal tools. Performance & Reliability: Ensure application reliability, performance optimization, and high availability at scale.Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise. Strategic Influence: Participate in architectural decisions and help shape the platform’s technical roadmap.REQUIREMENTS: : Bachelor’s degree from recognised University in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.: Proven track record of designing and integrating RESTful APIs.Agile Background: Familiarity with cloud platforms and DevOps tools.Knowledge of AI IDEs and machine learning concepts.
