Declan Fraser was driving at breakneck speeds around Australia’s most famous racetrack when fire engulfed his Gold Coast home, destroying everything.

Out of everything the Supercar driver lost while racing around Mount Panorama, there is one collection that he'll miss more than anything else. The home of Declan Fraser's family friends in Hope Island on the northern Gold Coast, which burnt down on Saturday.It took seven fire crews several hours to control the blaze, which destroyed the luxurious Hope Island home just before midday on Saturday.
"At the end of the day, everything's materialistic and as much as I've lost a lot of stuff and they've also lost a lot of stuff, everyone is still here and safe and that is literally the only thing that matters." Now, as the Supercar series rolls on to its next destination, the racing community is getting behind Fraser.
