Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy was full of praise for Jahrome Hughes following a superb performance from his inexperienced fullback against the Broncos on Thursday night.
The injury to Scott Drinkwater in a trial match against the Cowboys provided Hughes with a great opportunity to make the spot his own, even though he has played No.1 just six times in his 16 games for Storm over the past two years. "I might change my mind tomorrow when I have a look at the tape, but I thought Hughesy was our best player," Bellamy said."He had a whole heap of runs and he was very effective with a lot of things he did."
