New South Wales Treasurer Dominic Perrottet has announced $2.4 billion will be spent to bring forward shovel-ready projects across the state. The funding will be dedicated to projects in health, education, transport and roads.

Each of the areas will receive $600 million extra to bring forward projects over the next few years, with many shovel-ready now. “Today’s announcement is all about jobs, jobs and jobs,” Mr Perrottet said. “That’s $2.4 billion over the next two years, specifically we are identifying projects that are shovel-ready and screwdriver ready. “Right across the board we are bringing forward projects to keep people in work.
