After another stellar calendar year for Australia, superstar all-rounder Ellyse Perry wins the Rachael Heyhoe-Flint award for ICC women's cricketer of the year.
Australia has been well represented in the ICC's annual women's cricket awards, but it is star all-rounder Ellyse Perry who shone brightest, winning the Rachael Heyhoe-Flint medal for women's cricketer of the year.Ellyse Perry dominated international cricket, averaging 73.50 in ODIs with the bat and taking 21 wickets at 13.
Perry was also named ODI cricketer of the year, while her teammate Alyssa Healy was named the T20I player of the year for the second year in a row., and boasts the incredible average of 73.50 from her 12 ODIs in 2019.including a record breaking haul of 7-22 against England in Canterbury"It's an amazing honour and I'm a little bit shocked, given how many amazing performances there have been across the year," Perry said.
"It's amazing to be acknowledged and I do truly appreciate it. It's a really nice way to finish the year on a personal note."
