Biden gives Bubs a big thumbs up on baby formula delivery | hijessicayun
US President Joe Biden has thanked Australian infant formula maker Bubs Australia at a meeting, as the first batch of Bubs’ product gets ready to land into the hands of desperate American parents late next week.
“Look, as a father and a grandfather — and I’m sure we all feel the same way — I understand how difficult this shortage has been for families all across the country,” Biden said.Bubs chief Kristy Carr, who joined the US President at the meeting virtually from Melbourne at 4am, said the upcoming shipment would hit supermarket shelves in the West and East Coast and target hardest-hit areas first.
Discussion at the meeting was steered by White House senior health policy advisor Christen Young; US National Economic Council deputy director Sameera Fazili; surgeon general Vivek Murthy; and US Health and Human Services secretary Xavier Becerra.
