Sky News political reporter Annelise Nielsen says the Joe Biden supporters she spoke to in Florida didn’t have much enthusiasm for his policies but were voting for Biden “because they want Donald Trump out”. Florida is one the most important battle-ground states and has backed the winner every election since 1964, bar 1992. Ms Nielsen said Florida was a “bit of a microcosm of the population of the rest of the country”.
“The Donald Trump supporters I spoke to, they’re the ones that have homed in on particular issues they care about. They care about the economy, they don’t necessarily care about the pandemic, they care about international relations.” “We’re not seeing from the Biden supporters a lot of enthusiasm for his policies, I’ve almost exclusively found people are voting for Joe Biden are doing so because they want Donald Trump out.
