Voters in the South Australian state electorate of Black are returning to the polls today for the third by-election in the state in less than three years, with the final days of the campaign characterised by an exchange of complaints from both major parties.

Liberal and Labor candidates Amanda Wilson and Alex Dighton are among those contesting the by-election in the seat of Black .Thousands of voters will head to the polls in the SA state seat of Black in Adelaide's southern suburbs.

The by-election was triggered by the resignation of Mr Speirs, who had held the seat since 2018 but quit parliament in October after being charged by police with supplying a controlled substance. The state's Electoral Commission upheld a Labor complaint about Liberal electoral ads circulated on social media and radio, and in the form of printed flyers, that claimed that, under Labor, state government fees and charges had gone up 30 per cent.

"He was bullying and harassing me and intimidating me, so I've made a complaint to the Electoral Commissioner and that has resulted in we both agreeing to stand a metre apart," she said.In a statement, the Electoral Commission confirmed it was aware of the matter.
