Never in doubt
Despite the weather being unable to make its mind up on whether it is spring or not, it appears families have no doubts about where to visit for a UK trip this time of year. The top 10 most popular domestic destination for visitors in spring has been revealed, and our very own seaside favourite Blackpool has made the top five.
Cosmopolitan London tops the list as the most sought-after destination, with picturesque and historic Edinburgh and food and culture-heavy Liverpool completing the top three. Blackpool is one of those rare places that has something going on all year round, even in the off-season, with seaside towns traditionally fair-weather dependent.However, Blackpool's pull in the cooler months is twofold.
And away from the crashing waves and donkey rides, there's plenty of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from in the town centre, to suit all budgets and tastes. The town also has two major theatres, the Opera House, inside the Winter Gardensentertainment complex and The Grand, with both showing top touring shows and musicals in the next few months.
