The body of a 20-year-old woman was found in a townhouse near Penrith on Monday night after interstate family members called police with concerns for her welfare
Local police were called to the home on Barlow Street, Cambridge Park, about 9pm on Monday.
They were responding to a report from the woman's family, who held concerns because they had not heard from her for a lengthy period. On arrival, officers found the body of the woman, who is yet to be formally identified but believed to be the occupant of the townhouse. The circumstances of the woman's death and how she died are under investigation by detectives from Nepean police area command. A crime scene was established, which is being examined by forensic officers.
