The driver of the bus is helping police with their enquiries, but officers said no arrests have been made
A boy out riding his bike has died after being struck by a bus. Police and the ambulance service raced to the scene of the tragedy in Bolton this afternoon, but the youngster was pronounced dead at the scene.
No arrests have been made as of yet, reports the Mirror. A spokesman for the force said the driver of the bus was assisting officers with enquiries and added they were looking to talk to anyone who was aboard the vehicle at the time of the incident who left the scene. "The cyclist, an 11-year-old boy, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. No arrests have been made at this time and the driver of the bus is assisting officers with their enquiries. A scene remains in place at Vernon Street and Prince Street whilst officers carry out their investigation.
