Esther Ghey met with the family of Scarlett Jenkinson in her hometown last week
Esther Ghey met with the mum and uncle of Scarlett Jenkinson, who planned Brianna's “sadistic” killing and lured the 16 year old, to a park where she was stabbed 28 times with a hunting knife. Ms Ghey said the private meeting took place last week in her hometown of Warrington, and she hoped the two can work together on the Peace in Mind campaign she has launched as Brianna’s legacy.
She continued: “Although I don’t want to go into any detail, we discussed family and the challenges of parenting. As a former teacher Scarlett’s mum was really interested in the two Peace in Mind campaigns to get mindfulness training into schools through Mindfulness in Schools Project and better child safeguarding for social media and mobile phones.
Jenkinson and her accomplice, Eddie Ratcliffe, both 15 at the time, were jailed last month for life and ordered to serve 22 years and 20 years respectively for the “exceptionally brutal” murder of the trans teenager in Linear Park, Culcheth, on February 11 last year.
