It might have felt unseasonably warm in Brisbane lately, but Sydney is the city breaking July weather records.
Sydney has just experienced its hottest July on record, with its top of 23.4 degrees on Monday nudging its monthly average into the record books.
While it may have felt unseasonably warm lately, it was in fact not, despite a top of 27.6 degrees on Monday.Meteorologist Yoska Hernandez said the mean maximum temperature for Brisbane last month was 22.6 degrees.Since 2000, the highest July temperature recorded in Brisbane was 29.1 degrees, in 2016.
Maximum temperatures are forecast to be 23 degrees every day for the next week in Brisbane. At least it’s consistent.
