The Brisbane Heat are set to face the Perth Scorchers on Boxing Day in a crucial Big Bash League match. The Heat will be bolstered by the return of star quick Spencer Johnson, who missed the first two games of the season due to a toe injury. The Scorchers, on the other hand, are facing a number of absences due to Test commitments.

They’ve managed to win both games without him, while their opponents the Scorchers struggled on a pre-Christmas road trip, losing to the Hurricanes and Renegades with a number of their stars unavailable due to Test squad requirements.
