Among his best-known works were London Fields, The Information, and Money — a satire about consumerism in London, along with his 2000 memoir Experience.Fellow writers have taken to social media with tributes to their late friend.Journalist Antonello Guerrera described it as a "very sad day" and reminisced on his visits with Amis.Jonathan Glazer's adaption of Amis's 2014 novel The Zone of Interest premiered on Saturday at the Cannes Film Festival.
The film, about a Nazi commandant who lives next to Auschwitz with his family, drew some of the best reviews of the festival.
