A leaders' debate featuring the two candidates to replace British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been cut short after the moderator collapsed while live on air.Presenter Kate McCann collapsed during a live leaders' debate between Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss

Ms Truss was on camera and talking about the UK's response to the War in Ukraine when a loud crashing noise was heard and Ms Truss raised her hands to her face in shock, before looking around the set and moving over to where McCann had been standing. TalkTV later tweeted confirming that McCann had fainted and that while she "is fine", the debate would be halted.

McCann was presenting on her own after co-presenter Harry Cole – The Sun newspaper's political editor – pulled out after testing positive for COVID-19 earlier in the day.
