The fire, which started at Broome Primary School late on Sunday afternoon, was still visibly smouldering yesterday as police and fire investigators attempted to assess the extent of what is likely to exceed $5 million in damage. While the full scope of the damage is still being examined, four classrooms, a staff room and several office areas are believed to have been totally lost to the fire.
