The brother of a woman who was murdered and buried in a strawberry patch in 2001 has asked she not be granted parole.
What's next?A "monster" who buried a woman's remains in a strawberry patch in the early 2000s has asked South Australia's Supreme Court for a second chance at parole after breaching it on five different occasions.
The Adelaide murderer breached her non-parole period for the first time within four months of her release in 2021 before a new non-parole period was fixed.For the duration of the hearing, McGuinness kept her back turned to the public gallery and refused to make eye contact with Ms Lillecrapp's family.
"The fact that ... McGuinness has taken a life and yet she should have one herself is unthinkable.McGuinness's defence lawyer Joseph Henderson said his client had breached her parole conditions while in the pre-release centre last year.Mr Henderson said the breaches relate to drug use with one being a breach of curfew."She's taken these medications and the initial impact of them has been to significantly depress her mood to the point that she becomes suicidal," he said.
"In my submission, the nature of the breach and her behaviour is not such as to raise a serious and significant concern that she is at risk of reoffending," he said.
