All eyes will be on Justice Michael Lee – arguably the best-known judge in the land – when he hands down his judgment in the Bruce Lehrmann defamation case on Monday.
In January 2017. Michael Lee was enjoying a beer with Bob Hawke at the SCG during the New Year Test match – as they had done before.

Then came five years as a part-time copy boy at John Fairfax, at the building at Broadway in Sydney that housed’s racing team, “having a greasy breakfast washed down by a couple of schooners – all accompanied by the soundtrack of 2KYsWhen he finished his law degree at Sydney University, Lee turned down a job as a judge’s associate because the pay wasn’t as good as a first-year solicitor.
