Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been invited to the United States by President Joe Biden for an official state visit. Mr Albanese will be departing for the trip on Sunday afternoon.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been invited to the United States by President Joe Biden for an official state visit.“This will be the ninth occasion in which President Biden and I have had meetings since I was elected prime minister,” Mr Albanese said during a media conference on Sunday.“The alliance between Australia and the United States is central to Australia’s foreign policy.
“It’s an alliance based upon our common values, our view of the world, our support as great democratic nations and of course the important position that we also have on issues like climate change and how economic growth will occur growing forward.” Mr Albanese said the visit is also about “building an alliance for the future” between the United States and Australia.
