Traffic monitoring website Inrix says: "Ribchester Road closed in both directions closed, queueing traffic due to police incident from Ribchester Bridge to A59 Longsight Road." In a statement on Twitter, a spokesman for Blackburn Police said: "Please be aware that Ribchester Road is currently closed in both directions due to a road traffic collision.
