Paul McColl warns that it's going to be tough to get out of the West of Scotland Second Division

Cambuslang Rangers boss Paul McColl says big-spending clubs are “ruining the game” and that could prevent a rapid return to the West of Scotland First Division.

But he has signed 18-year-old striker Godson Nechi on a new deal and hopes to keep 50 per cent of last season’s squad, as Cambuslang Rangers essentially start from scratch. “Once you start paying a bit of money, players will come to you. Money is ruining the game, probably eight out of 10 teams now pay good money.“We’re down a division, so last year we could probably get players who were in the Premier down to the First, but getting that to the Second is going to be hard.
