Canberra Liberals leader Leanne Castley has unveiled her new shadow cabinet following the election last month.
The Canberra Liberals have unveiled their seven-member shadow cabinet following their defeat at the ACT election last month.
Ms Castley said shadow ministries had been appointed according to the relevant skills of each of the party room members. Deputy leader Jeremy Hanson will hold the education and skills portfolio, as well as veterans affairs while Peter Cain will resume his role as shadow attorney-general.Ed Cocks has been appointed as shadow treasurer, and is taking on a new dedicated portfolio focused on government services and customer experience.
James Milligan has been given the responsibilities of city services, business, the arts and sport and recreation.First-term MLA Deborah Morris will be the opposition spokesperson for corrections, community safety, police, emergency services and prevention of family and domestic violence. Ms Castley said her focus would be on "housing affordability" and "making sure that there are enough homes for people in Canberra.
Before the election, the Liberals had a shadow minister for climate action, energy and emissions reduction, but that's no longer included in the shadow line-up.
