The ACT Children's Court heard the 15-year-old boy accused of driving a stolen car that crashed and fatally injured another teenager near State Circle in April has allegedly been on a crime spree in the four months since.

A 15-year-old boy accused of driving a stolen car that crashed and killed another teenager near State Circle in April has allegedly been on a crime spree in the four months since the crash.

lost control while driving at 125 kilometres per hour in an 80kph zone on Adelaide Avenue at about 4:45am, and flipped the car onto its roof Prosecutor Soraya Saikal-Skea said the seriousness of the April crash should have motivated the teen to "keep his nose clean". But bail was denied by Magistrate James Stewart who said the allegations demonstrated the teenager's "lack of care" for the crash victim and "deep disregard" for others involved in the offending.

ACT Policing revealed the accused teenager and another passenger were picked up from the scene of the crash by two people in a stolen getaway car, a black Genesis GV80 SUV. Senior Constable Smorhun said evidence from other investigations involving the accused had shown he had committed unprovoked attacks for perceived slights, and feared the woman would be at risk for "ratting".The stolen Genesis GV80 SUV was found partially burned out in Theodore on the same day it picked up two people from the site of the fatal crash.
