Shareholders have defied the AGL Energy board and elected four of the Grok nominees at today’s annual general meeting in Melbourne.
AGL shareholders have defied AGL’s board, led by Patricia McKenzie, by voting up all of Mike Cannon-Brookes’ proposed director nominees, according to proxy investor votes registered ahead of Tuesday’s much anticipated annual general meeting.
“The board welcomes these new directors to the board and will work constructively with them in the best of interests of shareholders,” she said.The election of all four candidates nominated by Mr Cannon-Brookes and his private investment company Grok expands the AGL board from five directors to nine.
