However, the sculpture who created the four previous statues, Peter Corlett, has in the past said the monuments can cost in excess of $100,000.

Mr Andrews will become the fifth Victorian premier to have his likeness reproduced in bronze, with statues of John Caine Jr, Rupert Hamer, Henry Bolte, and Albert Dunstan currently standing near the entrance of the premier’s office at 1 Treasury Place.
